Here’s a few pictures from our sporadic road trip last weekend. Rather than continuously explore the west side of the state, we decided to check out the eastern plains for once. Pawnee National Grassland is an internationally known “birding area”, so apparently you can spot plenty of birds. The land also exemplifies the resulting damage of the dust bowl back in the 1930’s, leading to widespread erosion and substantial damage to the land. We had a good time, but we probably won’t go back. Keegan warned that I’d consider the scenery “boring” upon arrival and sadly, he was right. But regardless, it was nice to walk Buddy and get out of the house. Between our adventure and my company picnic last Friday, we kept ourselves busy.
