My best friend came to visit recently, and we had a blast. Like always, the weekend came and went too soon. Scroll for pics if you feel like living vicariously through me.

With this monumental to-do list we accomplished most everything with a few exceptions. Brittany and Justin met us downtown for drinks, so we started at Rio and wound up at Social. On Saturday, we skipped Red Rocks and strolled 16th Street in Denver, exploring the country’s longest stretching outdoor mall with free shuttles for lazy people like us.

After we left the eclectic Cafe Panache, we traveled to Tattered Cover Bookstore in Denver (not listed on the itinerary) and found a delectable cheese shop where we tried samples that we otherwise couldn’t afford.

Junip loving on her Auntie

I wish we could relive these moments, but I know Tika will return soon. The altitude had her a little too wasted on Friday night, but I also blame the variety of adult beverages ranging from our wine flights, margaritas, beer and vodka drinks at Social, home of the Fort Collin’s artisan cocktail. But it was nice of Justin to buy us cupcakes which somewhat sobered me up. Tika…not so much. We also indulged in ceviche at Rio and crepes the following morning. Overall, it was a great weekend for tasty treats. Missing my other half, but until next time, I’m left with these irreplaceable memories that I’ll cherish forever.

In the meantime, this one’s for you Tika!! Love you girl!!
