Perfectly describes my love of cooking for others

What an insane week it has been already. One woman couldn’t make it to a friend’s bachlorette party this weekend in Gatlinburg, leaving me to cook for 7 ladies Friday night. As someone who thrives under pressure, I’ve pinpointed a decadent meal bound to knock the socks off our guests (Thanks Pinterest). Planning last minute meals provokes a sense of worthiness, plus it provides an additional responsibility to attend to besides breakfast Saturday morning. For those of you not keeping up with my monthly New Years Resolutions, September revolves around pursuing a passion. Nothing excites me more than trying new recipes, so the menu calls for a few new items plus appended, familiar favorites.

Tonight another group of friends are riding with me to see Empire of the Sun in Atlanta at my favorite venue, The Tabernacle (a 4 hour drive from my house); then I train a co-worker tomorrow morning and hoop with friends tomorrow evening. Needless to say, I don’t expect to sleep much, if at all, in the next 36 hours. How will this weekend turn out!? Still yet to be determined, but pictures coming soon of these thrilling adventures and tasty dinners. What life has taught me is sometimes you have to roll with the punches and embrace the unexpected changes in your plans, find a way to make it work, and do the best you can.
